About this site

An outdoor sauna is a four or five figure purchase that most people make exactly once. The information available while making it is mostly vendor marketing, and the numbers that actually decide the purchase are scattered: the footprint sits on one page, the heater sizing table with the heater maker, the electrical requirement in a PDF, and the real delivered price somewhere behind a freight quote.

This site pulls those numbers into one place and says where each one came from. We track 15 outdoor saunas and 11 heaters, every spec carries the URL it was read from and the date it was read, and a dash always means the maker does not publish the figure rather than that we skipped it.

We cover traditional electric and wood-fired outdoor saunas as a home purchase. We do not cover infrared cabins, and nothing on this site makes claims about what sauna use does for your body. There are plenty of places to read about that. This is the site for the twenty minutes where you need the footprint, the heater size and the breaker rating to line up.

How to use it

Start with the fit finder if you know how many people and how much pad you have, or the heater calculator if you already have a room and need the right stove for it. Every product page shows what the maker publishes and, just as usefully, what it does not.

The methodology lives at how we verify, how the site earns money at affiliate disclosure, and what we collect about visitors, which is very little, at privacy policy.

Corrections

If a maker updates a spec, discontinues a model, or you spot a figure that does not match its source, tell us at contact@outdoorsaunacompare.com and we will fix it and restamp the date.
