How well documented this category is

Documentation is the quiet spec. Across the 11 models on this page, 11 of 11 publish a room volume rating, while only 2 of 11 publish a price. A seller who states a figure is inviting comparison, and one who does not is asking you to order first and measure later. Each row above links to the page every number was read from, and a dash marks the questions worth putting to the seller in writing before freight is on the truck.

How to read the field

Start with the fuel column, because it is really an infrastructure column. Electric means a dedicated 240 volt circuit and an electrician. Wood means a flue, clearances and whatever your locality says about solid fuel. Then match the rated room to your measured room, aiming for the middle of the published window rather than its edge, which is the sizing advice the makers themselves publish. Only after those two gates does brand preference deserve a vote, and by then the field is usually two or three stoves, not eleven.

The field right now: 9 electric models and 2 wood fired, spanning 4.5 to 16.5 kW. Only 2 of the 11 carry a published price, which says something true about how heater retail works: much of this category is sold inside sauna packages or through quotes, and a stove with no public price is normal here in a way it is not for the saunas themselves.

The price column here needs one caveat the sauna table does not: heater listings differ in whether stones, controls and shipping brackets are in the box. Two stoves at the same sticker can be a hundred dollars apart once the stones are priced. Each record notes what its seller states about contents, and a dash means the question belongs in an email to them before the order, not after.
