The makers we track
8 makers, from Finnish heater manufacturers to North American barrel builders. Each brand page lists every model of theirs in the database and how much of it the maker actually documents, which turns out to vary more than price does.
Why we grade the makers on paperwork
Documentation is the one spec every maker controls completely. A seller who publishes interior dimensions, wall thickness and a real manual is inviting comparison and expecting to survive it. A seller who publishes photographs and adjectives is asking you to buy on trust and discover the numbers after freight. Neither wood nor price predicts which kind you are dealing with, so each brand page below counts it: how many fields the maker states, where the figures come from, and which models our tools could evaluate end to end. Treat that count the way you would treat a warranty. It tells you how the relationship goes after the money moves.
